Tune in at home, at work, at school,
or even on the go.

WUOG is a University of Georgia all-student, all-volunteer, commercial free alternative radio station. WUOG
contains both talk segments and music for listeners on and off UGA’s campus. It launched in October of 1972
and can be heard on 90.5 FM. Our team has been tasked with developing an app that allows listeners to easily access
WUOG content conveniently anywhere at anytime. Our team aims to increase listenership of the
station and introduce an app that can be downloaded from the Apple app store.

When assessing other college campus radio station apps, our team discovered and reviewed how important it is to give
listeners what they want from a radio station. From our research, it was concluded that people simply want to
listen to music. The days of turning on your radio are appearing less relevant when many devices allow for music
accessibility. So, our goal is to have an app that contains a live stream of the radio station in real time. Anyone
on and off campus can open the app and instantly hear music and talk segments that are currently being played from the
WUOG station. From students to staff to alumni to those out of town, the app is easily accessible to all.

In addition to the live stream, the app also gives brief information on the history of WUOG and allows for
individuals to send songs playing to their friends through iMessage. A part of our job was to stay as true to
the branding as possible to our client.Through both our app and content we have stayed on brand and have
allowed for individuals to easily identify with WUOG as the alternative radio station. Stayed tuned in at all times and on the go!

Check it out. See what you can do.
